Photo that I'm analysing
Annie Leibovitz
1. Rule of Thirds
I imagined that this image is divided into 9 equal segments by 2 vertical and 2 horizontal lines. The most important element is in the scene along the lines, and it is at the point where they intersect. The most important aspect of the photo is the largest and the closest object to the camera is the girl (Cinderella). The second most important thing in this photograph is the high heel shoe in the middle of the photo. The third important part is the castle which is the furthest away from the camera.
2. Balancing Elements
The main subject (the most important subject) is on the right of the photograph, to balance out the photo, the castle in the back balances it out because it is on the left. It makes the photo more interesting.
3. Leading Lines
The leading lines of this photograph are the stairs, which are going up horizontally (drawing attention to the castle).
4. Symmetry and pattern
There is no symmetry in this photograph, there is a repetitiveness in the stairs that looks like a pattern.
5. Viewpoint
The viewpoint of this photograph is eye level, as if the photographer is standing right up close to the girl.
6. Background
The background of this photo are the stairs and the castle. The castle has light effect on it so it would stand out more and catch attention.
7. Framing
The trees are the frame for the girl, and the walls frame the whole photograph. The stairs draw your attention from the girl to the castle.
8. Cropping
There is no cropping in this photograph, it is the full sized image.
9. Key Lighting
This photograph goes from high key to low key from the castle to the bottom step. The high key is mainly on the castle and also the high heel shoe, the back of cinderlla's dress and the side of her face.

1. Rule of Thirds
I imagined that this image is divided into 9 equal segments by 2 vertical and 2 horizontal lines. The main focus of this photograph is the person, your eyes will be drawn on it in the first sight. The person is on the left second vertical line.
2. Balancing Elements
This photo is balanced because there is a person around the middle of the photograph, and there are river and trees in both sides of the photograph, also I can see the shadows on the river in both sides so it look balanced.
3. Leading Lines
The leading line of this photograph is the horizontal line of the horizon of the river.
4. Symmetry and pattern
There is no symmetry in this photograph.
5. Viewpoint
The viewpoint of this photograph is eye level, the photographer might have taken this photo in the early morning because there is no sunlight, the weather is also foggy because the image is a little bit blurry.
6. Background
This photo has more than one layer, the base is the river and the sky, the second layer is the trees in both sides and the person around the middle of the photograph.
7. Framing
The trees in both sides are the framing of this photograph.
8. Cropping
The photographer cropped the photo as the tree in bth sides and the river in the middle.
9. Depth
Thos photograph is a two dimensional medium.
10. Purpose
This photograph was shot in the early morning with a foggy weather, it is calm and relaxing. This photograph might represent sadness, calm and mysterious.
